Our Team
-
Dr Anne Robertson - Chairwoman
Meet Anne, our village superstar! She moved here 11 years ago from Glasgow, retired as a GP. With husband John, they've raised 4 sons and 6 adorable grandkids. Anne's a gardening guru with a green thumb, a singer in not one but two choirs, and the spirited leader of a U3A walking group. Plus, she's been steering the Old School Hall Committee for 6 years! If you ever need gardening tips, a song to brighten your day, or a picturesque walk, Anne's your go-to person. Wave and smile when you see her! ππ»πΆββοΈ

Philip Gee - Vice Chairman
Meet Philip who made the move from bustling London to our cozy Bourton on the Hill back in 2011. He's a Chartered Accountant working part-time as well as a local enthusiast, deeply involved in several community organisations - he even takes up the important role of Churchwarden, looking after our beautiful church. And if that weren't enough, you might just spot him behind the wheel of the local Community Bus, helping to keep our village connected. A true example of someone who's embraced village life with open arms and a big heart, we're lucky to have him! ππ€π
-
Dr Catherine Firth - Treasurer
This is Catherine, our Financial Wizard!
She spent several years as a financial controller in the vibrant world of hotels and then shared her financial wisdom by teaching finance and management to hospitality and tourism students. These days, she is taking care of the Old School's finances β a different scale, but equally challenging! But there's more! Catherine is also a devoted trustee of the Educational Trust, contributing to the betterment of our community. And let's not forget, she's a supermom too to three amazing kids. Say hi when you see her π€πβοΈ -
Sandra Gee - Secretary
Sandra made the move to Bourton on the Hill back in 2011 after a fulfilling career in various sectors as a PA. Apart from her involvement with The Old School, Sandra wears many hats in our vibrant community. You can often find her lending her time and energy to local organisations like the Church and Orchard Bank (a complex for elderly people) in Blockley, where her heart truly shines. But that's not all β Sandra's also a star member of the Blockley Amateur Dramatic Company, adding a touch of thespian flair to our village! It's clear she's an integral part of our community, bringing warmth and vibrancy wherever she goes. π€ππ

Rachel Hudson - Volunteer
Meet Rachel, our newest member! After volunteering in the Open Garden tea room for more years than she can remember, Rachel finally graduated to the Old School committee in 2024. Sheβs on the look out for new events to put on at the Old School and very happy to talk to anyone who would like to get involved - on a regular or occasional basis.
